Berossus

Berossus (also Berossos or Berosus; Akkadian: Bēl-rē'ušu, "Bel is his shepherd" Greek: Βήρωσσος1) was a Hellenistic-era Babylonian writer, a priest of Bel Marduk2 and astronomer autograph in Greek, who was alive at the alpha of the 3rd aeon BC. Versions of two excerpts of his writings survive, at several removes.
